Shungite (SHOONG-eyeT), when used with Soapstone, excites the flow of "yin" and "yang" energies within the human body, allowing Qi to flow gently and abundantly. Grounding with small pendants, hand rods, and extra-large foot plates is the cornerstone practice of our workouts. Practitioners are introduced slowly to harmonizing stones, as they can produce an intense "grounding" effect, which could be overwhelming for new practitioners.
Earthing and Grounding, while similar, are distinct.
Earthing involves exchanging positive ions from bare feet with the negative ions in the Earth, which can vary. It's like "tasting" the Earth's specific energy.
Grounding creates "hallowed ground" from specific materials to interact with desired energy.
By centering and grounding on shungite and soapstone plates and/or holding the rods, you exchange ions and create a flowing current.
To ensure smooth and abundant energy flow, the mind, body, and spirit must be properly aligned and conditioned to act as a conduit. During practice, warm-ups and cool-downs will involve Qigong techniques and fascia activation to guide stagnant or excessive energy for more efficient cultivation.
Fascia activation aligns the body's smallest vessels for optimal energy flow, achieved by gently manipulating and focusing on specific fascia layers throughout the body, allowing for a beautiful flow of fresh energy.
Energy cultivation, originating from ancient Egypt, India, China, and other cultures, has evolved over millennia to interact with the subtle energy of the unseen world.
Ancient Egyptians focused on the "Ka/Ba" as the birth "Soul/Body," while ancient Hindus sought balance in the "Ida/Pingala" to raise Prana (or Qi), and ancient Chinese understood "Yin" and "Yang" as two elements of Qi. In modern science, "+/-" charges create a current. Example, caution is advised around live wires.
By using various ancient and modern energy cultivation methods, meditations, breathing practices, exercises, and rituals, in conjunction with shungite and soapstone instruments, we can charge the Qi flowing through a grounded, centered, and peaceful practitioner.
Our practice together will focus this newly harnessed energy toward your specific goals for your mind, body, and spirit.
Playing with the flow of energy can be fun and intense.
